Slave to Desires
Everyday, it's you I live for. Everyday, I'll follow after you. Every, I'll walk with you. -Hillsong
You're stressed out, I hear ya. I can relate. Feeling frustrated about the damn thing? God's writing with you. Does that sound overbearing? Restricting? What'd you expect - to carry it all by yourself? Impossible. He didn't damn us to just be, but allowed us to get to do this with Him. In over your head.
Refused to pay attention, turned a stubborn shoulder, stopped our ears, and made our hearts diamond hard (Zechariah 7:11-12)
Recognize, acknowledge, be astonished at his miracles and wisdom, but he'll be amazed at your lack of faith. (Mark 6:1-6)
How can you be imperfect AND accept my imperfection? Without lowering your ideals NOR demeaning my inferiority? Require not legalism but desire love from me?
Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it." (Luke 18:17)
You are forever in my life You see me through the seasons -Hillsong
Your love is a flood and I'm caught in the current of your living waters -Citipointe
This badass duo led Israel out of slavery. When Jabin was King and commander Sisera ruled the neighborhood. Read about it: Judges 4.
Where are you going?
Had another thought. A gear wheel on which I'm stepping on one by one. Seemed only to go in circles, but actually I had been winding it. It suddenly flings me to flight.
Two are better than one because they have a more satisfying return for their labor; for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and does not have another to lift him up. Again, if two lie down together, then they keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? And though one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12a)
I'm always wavering, wondering, doubting. Never sure or secure. You're always solid, sure and sound. You're my tree trunk.
I'll follow you like the minute pursues the hour.
God, this is too much. I don't know how to take it. What is it? What do I do? Let me move and grow from it ASAP.
Even when I am physically so tired may my spirit be alive and well with you.
Build on your revelation. "Build on a clear, deep knowing of who you are in Christ." - Phil Pringle
You fill my heart perfectly.
Jesus saves No longer a slave
That wall you know so perverse and impossibly overbearing? God will plumage a hole through it.
You're on a boat You draw water into it scoop by scoop You need your fill, satisfaction of gain, work that pays You have control, along with a collection of junk You don't understand You're actually in the middle of the ocean You take a look around and it dawns on you You need only jump in
What will be How to be Show me Endure Take care Don't fear I'm near
Live as if you've found what you've desperately been looking for. "For in Christ all the fullness of the deity lives in bodily form, and in him you have been filled who is the head over every power and authority." (Colossians 2:9-10)
Just snug in love.
Ready for anything.
At times I feel I have a lot to offer. Other times I feel I have nothing to give. Let the altar in my heart be renewed daily. God, you're more committed to my becoming than how I am committed to becoming.
